Job Responsibilities
- Provides research support and recommendations to VP of Business Development on matters of strategic importance related to in-licensing, out-licensing, establishing strategic partnerships, joint ventures, M&A transactions, and portfolio optimization.
- Represents IASO BIO externally at key industry conferences and meetings at various levels of participation (interfacing with KOLs and industry thought leaders, presenting on IASO Bio activities/products).
- Identify and build relationships with key biopharmaceutical industry potential partners, both in China and abroad, and support partnering efforts to the completion of successful partnership agreements and strategic partnerships.
- Understand and know how to navigate the China and Global biopharmaceutical market, including in-depth knowledge of companies, products, and company strategies in order to enable IASO BIO to be able to effectively attract key partners.
- Effectively collaborate with internal departments (Marketing, Medical, R&D, Development) throughout the process of maintaining partnerships.
- Possess a strong understanding of IASO BIO’s biopharmaceutical products, our key competitors, and how we will position ourselves to advance.
- Track and communicate ongoing industry developments to VP of Business Development and more broadly where appropriate to stay up-to-date on the competitive environment.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s (BS) degree required at a minimum.
- 3-5 years with a proven track record in biopharmaceutical business development or related markets.
- Near-fluent Chinese and English speaking, reading and writing skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, with emphasis on detail and prioritization.
- Understanding of biological sciences and biopharmaceutical product development preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and statistical analysis software.
- Superior presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to communicate information, whether technical or non-technical to staff members and customers, in a clear and concise manner.
